Highland Park Night Out took place at Highland Park Village on Tuesday, October 6th and fun was had by all who attended. The event gave residents an opportunity to speak with any and all town departments; many of whom had most or all of their personnel present to answer any questions. The event also brought out Fire Truck 331 whose ladder rose well into the blue sky, Ambulance 332, various HPDPS patrol vehicles with open doors to see their onboard computer systems, various spots to house their weapons and other equipment that allows our officers to respond to various emergency situations. Kids were excited to be able to sit in the back of an ambulance and ask questions with an officer/paramedic. Everyone was welcome to get in and out of the fire truck, patrol vehicles or ambulance with officers standing ready to explain the operation of every button, gauge and siren.
We were delighted to have Mi Cocina serve their yummy Mexican cuisine, Celebrity Café donated their thirst quenching tea, Tom Thumb kept us hydrated with bottled water and Patrizio’s sent over hot pizzas.
Once again, neighbors helping neighbors.
