ALICE + OLIVIA FALL 2016 COLLECTION
Stacey Bendet’s Fall 2016 Collection for alice + olivia is set in the cultural playground that was and is downtown New York City. For Bendet, this collection is a modern ode to the late seventies when New York was bleak and dangerous; but the art and music scene boomed. The collection is comprised of an eclectic mix of pieces in a kaleidoscope of colors. Its foundation is built on the color juxtaposition of bright staples and dark compliments. Autumnal jewel tones include ruby, dark turquoise, mustard, cobalt blue, and copper contrasted by dusty pink, charcoal, and black. The intricate details of this collection feature the likes of beadwork birds, butterflies, and owls, eluding to the idea of this creative urban jungle. There is a sense of personality and sophistication in Bendet’s thoughtfully embellished pieces.
The rich accessories show attention to detail, continuing the delicate beadwork seen in the ready-to-wear. Shoe styles range from cool suede boots, T-strap Mary Janes to sultry slides. Suede color-blocked bowling bags make for a rich addition to the collection. Standing together these beautiful bold looks perfectly complement the richly embellished novelty pieces, creating an experience that celebrates every women’s unique individuality and power to be a bright light in a gritty city.

ROBERTA ROLLER RABBIT INTRODUCES THE PROVENCE COLLECTION
August may be one of the best times of the year to be in Provence where everything has been drenched in sun, when the air starts to cool in the shade and when the sunshine feels like a caress. Provence is also the place to see the traces of the Silk Road, specifically the prints, crafts and techniques brought back from the outposts of the Indies, which have found fame and limitless decorative interpretations in Provence since the XVII century. These prints and this season seem to be made for each other with enough white to warm you under the sun and rich, warm tones that can paired with wool when days turn cool.
The collection of hand blocked printed products ranges from women’s apparel, loungewear and jewelry, to kids dresses and PJs, as well as a complete line of home wares.
