Highland Park Village Welcomes Leggiadro

DALLAS – September 2009 – New York based women’s sportswear line, Leggiadro, will open its first and only Texas boutique early next spring in Highland Park Village. The 852 square foot store will be a welcomed addition to the center, offering ultra-luxe clothing full of rich, delectable hues and unique prints. Leggiadro will be located between St. John and Loro Piana in space #42A and will be one of 12 stores nationally.

Mother and son duo, Ann and Brooks Ross founded Leggiadro in 1985 and continue to run the company from their Brant Park offices in New York. Placing particular emphasis on the natural, comfortable quality of their clothing and avoiding the mass-produced feel of many high profile athletic materials, each Leggiadro fabric is hand selected from the finest mills in France, Italy and Switzerland. With each piece, extraordinary attention has been devoted to every detail of the Collection, from conception to finishing. “Leggiadro is known for our classic styles that are current and wearable and we are thrilled to bring our line to Highland Park Village,” says Co-founder, Brooks Ross. “The boutique will offer an intimate shopping experience with an attentive staff…a haven for women to relax and enjoy the experience of shopping at Leggiadro.” Stephen Summers, Managing Director/Director of Leasing for the center says, “We are happy to have been able to make this deal with Leggiadro, especially during a time when so many retailers are not in a position to open new stores.”

Highland Park Village is a favorite among locals, as it has been for generations. Built in 1931 and widely regarded as the country’s first true shopping center, the Village is internationally recognized for its architectural significance and mix of the world’s best-known upscale retailers including Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Harry Winston and Hermès. It is a treasured part of the community and offers several annual events including the Village Holiday event and horse-drawn carriage rides each winter. In 2000, Highland Park Village was named a National Historic Landmark. Highland Park Village Gift Cards are available for purchase by calling 214.443.9898. Complimentary valet parking is available.
