Give a Lone Star welcome to two stores making their Texas debuts at Highland Park Village this fall. Diamonds, pearls and colored gems star at JUDITH RIPKA, in a blinged-out space the New York-based jewelry designer promises is “as comfortable as it is luxe.” LAFCO NEW YORK, meanwhile, devotes more than half its 600 square feet to the fragrances, herbal teas, bath and body products of the ancient Florentine apothecary Santa Maria Novella, founded by Dominican friars in 1612. The balance of the company’sthirdstore(Nos.1and2areinNewYork’s SoHo and LA’s Melrose Place) is equally special: decoratively wrapped soaps from Portugal’s historic Claus Porto 1887, perfumes by boutique lines Eau d’Italie and Lorenzo Villoresi, Linari room fragrances and LAFCO’s own line of candles, each scent keyed to a different room in the home. Even better news — both stores will be among the hundreds participating in Partners Card.
