The opening of Stella McCartney’s stateside boutique in Highland Park Village coincides perfectly with the end of summer. Since the house launched in 2001, McCartney has encapsulated crisp and polished looks with exquisite tailoring without sacrificing her social and eco-friendly consciousness. Autumn 2011 promises more of her superbly glamorous, yet masculine pieces (lace and netting panels with polka-dots along with shoulder pads and powerful silhouettes).

Slated to open at the end of August, Dallas’ triple digit heat has us more than ready to embrace Ms. McCartney’s cool aesthetics.
To further aid our anticipation, the three-month renovation of the new store (next door to Harry Winston) is marked by a giant barricade featuring an image shot by none other than the designer’s mother Linda McCartney. The photo, approved by Sir Paul, features an appaloosa stallion amid a field of wildflowers.

A fitting depiction for the designer whose family and love of art and animals inspires her women’s ready-to-wear, fragrance, eyewear, and organic skincare lines. We doubt you need a twisted arm to show up on opening day.
