Meet Giancarlo “GC” Angioni, our dedicated driver for visitors at Highland Park Village. The Village, in partnership with Sewell, offers a complimentary car service to guests on a first-come, first-served basis. The chauffeured luxury SUV fits six people comfortably and is available to guests traveling within a 5-mile radius. Transportation is also available from Highland Park Village to Dallas Love Field Airport, based on availability.

Tell us a little about yourself and what led you to your job at Highland Park Village.
I was born in Belgium and lived in multiple European countries before moving to the United States. My two sisters live in Dallas, and every time I visited, they asked me to move here.
I worked for a limo company in Dallas for 20 years before working at Highland Park Village in 2018. The Village was looking for a driver to start the complimentary car service. They hired me because of my experience, and because I speak seven languages fluently which allows me to offer excellent service because we have a lot of international visitors.
How long have you been working at Highland Park Village?
I have worked here for seven years.
What’s your favorite or most unique thing about what you do?
The most beautiful part of my job is the people that I have the opportunity to meet. I would have never met these people without this position because they come from all over the world to see Highland Park Village.
What do you enjoy most about the Highland Park Village community?
It is a family, and it doesn’t feel like work when you are with people who all love each other, which is a beautiful thing. It isn’t like you do your job and you check out, and that is it. You get to do your job with certain pleasures and enjoy seeing everyone. You don’t find that everywhere. It can be tough to work every day without communication and people who make you feel loved and enjoy being around.
What are some of your favorite spots around the Village?
I like to take a lap to visit every store and check in every day. It is nice because there is always something to do. I go inside, get to know the manager and the staff, and ask if they need help that day. I am here for everybody and want to make sure everyone knows that. After so many years, the whole Village has begun to feel like family.
