Title: Retail Operations Lead
Location: Dallas/Ft Worth Area
Reports to: Lela Rose Dallas Retail Director

Job Summary

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stores, ensuring seamless and efficient workflows. This role involves maintaining systems and processes, managing inventory, and supporting the staff in delivering excellent customer service to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations of stores, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail floor, fitting rooms, cash wrap and backstock areas.
  • Liaise with Retail Store Director and Corporate team to execute store strategies and events, including window display installations, floor remerchandising and stock fill-ins, proposal submissions, event supply orders, invites and set up, etc.
  • Monitor store supply levels and request/order replenishment as necessary.
  • Oversee store maintenance requests.
  • Maintain accurate account and billing information for all retail accounts (i.e. FedEx, GoTo, Apple, Spotify, Wi-Fi, ADT, etc).
  • Troubleshoot all system updates and issues in accordance with the system guidelines documents.
  • Update store hours and holiday closures in Google Search Console.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve retail team operations and store performance in partnership with the Corporate Operations team.

Staff Management

  • With approval of Retail Director, schedule and manage staff shifts & PTO in Easyteam Management System to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Support staff with customer transactions during busy hours.
  • Monitor store policies and procedures to ensure staff compliance.
  • Ensure employee personal order alterations are correctly billed to the store and/or employee in alignment with the store’s policy.
  • Lead staff in completing daily opening and closing checklists.
  • Lead Shopify POS & RLM trainings for new staff members.

Inventory Management

  • Facilitate daily fulfillment of online & other retail location orders.
  • Manage weekly reviews of on-approval draft orders and ensure staff follow up with customers to secure transactions or return items.
  • Conduct weekly physical inventory counts to ensure POS and ERP stock levels align.
  • Manage daily maintenance of the vintage SKU tracker.
  • Execute the seasonal stock receival process, including bulk stock, trunk show orders, pre-order flags and special orders, in RLM and on the floor. Notify team members of new stock, stock replenishment, and special order arrivals so customers are properly notified.
  • Label all new stock with Shopify barcode labels and steam all products.
  • Notify Corporate Team of all pre-order transactions and order cancellations.
  • Conduct shipment of swaps and RTV products to Bergen Logistics & LRR and stock adjust out products in RLM inventory.
  • Keep sales floor appropriately filled with stock.

Sales & Customer Service

  • Ensure all emails and voicemails are addressed and delegate to appropriate staff members as necessary.
  • Partner with Retail Director to update daily store reporting documents, including the monthly budget tracker, end-of-day sales emails and store activities tracker.
  • Support Retail Director in creating and analyzing customized sales reports to enhance understanding of business.
  • Conduct monthly staff commission reports, with final approval with Retail Director.
  • Organize samples and distribute training documents for seasonal staff product trainings.
  • Facilitate staff customer alterations with store’s alterations partner WB Alterations.
  • Communicate all special-order requests to the Corporate Sales team for approval.
  • Manage online or other store customer returns to proper locations if returned.
  • Communicate with Corporate Operations Manager to rectify any errors or damages from shipped orders.

The employee may be asked to take on additional responsibilities or tasks beyond those outlined in this list, depending on the evolving needs of the organization. An open and ongoing line of communication will be maintained to ensure clarity and facilitate effective collaboration.

Qualifications

Experience & Skillset

  • 3–5+ years of fast-paced retail management or other relevant operations work experience
  • Proven ability with monitoring inventory levels, achieving operational excellence, driving a service culture, and executing merchandising directives
  • Strong technological aptitude to navigate and train on operational systems, namely Shopify and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to make independent decisions strategically
  • Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills and capable of working in a dynamic environment
  • An educator, coach, and mentor who supports teams in achieving operational excellence

Position Requirements

  • Work a flexible, full-time schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs
