A storied silversmith and jeweler, Charles Christofle founded the French luxury House that we know today as Christofle in the mid-1800s. With his first shop adorning the rue Royal in Paris in 1897, Christofle embodied the art of sharing and celebrating milestone events and everyday pleasures through custom pieces. Through the years, the brand has expanded its inventory to include all aspects of the modern lifestyle, such as table arts, bar and oenology, home décor, baby and children’s gifts as well as jewelry and personal accessories.

A jeweler by trade, Charles Christfole was born in Paris in 1805 and founded his luxury House in 1830.

In addition to Christofle’s studio creations, the House collaborates with skilled designers and artists of the day to offer contemporary pieces created by the best craftsmen in France. Works by artists and designers, historic re-editions and reproductions, custom orders and other pieces are all crafted in the Christofle workshop in Yainville, France. Currently maintaining a presence in more than 70 countries with more than 60 wholly owned shops, Dallas was pleased to welcome its first Christofle boutique to Highland Park Village in 2016.

Most recently, Christofle has collaborated with fashion force Karl Lagerfeld, making for the first time in Christofle history to team up with a celebrated fashion brand. A long-time Christofle connoisseur and with many pieces in his own home, Lagerfeld designed a limited edition MOOD just in time for the holidays. This exclusive collection consists of the famous MOOD flatware and decorative case that opens to reveal a 24-piece set of silver-plated flatware.

Inspired by Art Deco art and architecture, Lagerfeld’s design features structured, graphic lines on the elliptical egg and is available in two exclusive colors. The polish silver option is made from mirrored stainless steel, with 1,000 pieces available and the sleek black option is crafted from lacquered stainless steel with just 500 pieces. All pieces are engraved with the Christofle coat of arms on one side and Karl Lagerfeld’s signature on the other.

Christofle houses plenty of other luxury pieces that make great gifts not just for the holidays but year round. Choose from three barware sets that are the perfect entertaining accessories. The Champagne gift includes the Vertigo cooler and four Graphik champagne glasses. The Whisky decanter includes two old fashioned glasses and two silver plated coasters. And the classic Martini set includes two glasses and silver plated olive picks.
