Get to Know…Dana Guercio

Tell us a little about yourself and what led you to Miron Crosby.

I met Lizzie and Sarah through very dear mutual friends, and I fell in love with their story immediately. I was most fortunate to have enjoyed a long career at Ralph Lauren here in Highland Park Village. I learned very early on that my love and appreciation for beautifully crafted things drove my passion.

How long have you been leading the charge at Miron Crosby? 

I started in April of 2017 before the shop was even built out. Timing was crucial as I wanted to be with Lizzie and Sarah in order to really learn and appreciate the process and their story. They were so generous and patient as well as everyone at our factory, Rios of Mercedes. Once I spent time with the girls and visited the factory, I knew I was headed for pure happiness!

What’s your favorite or most unique thing about what you do? 

My favorite thing to do is talk about the craftsmanship of our boots as each one is so special and spirited. I also love to tell the girls’ story and talk about their history and inspiration. I am so proud of what they have created, and we all have such a great time!

How long have you personally been visiting Highland Park Village?

I started coming to Highland Park Village with my mom many years ago. I knew that I would someday love to be a part of such a beautiful place with a community that supported it in a way that made it feel like a small town.

What do you enjoy most about the Highland Park Village community?

I enjoy coming to work every day with some of my dearest friends, many of whom started at Ralph Lauren when I did in 1996. It is also wonderfully curated and beautiful!

Are there any secret or fun facts you can share about the Village, your shop, or yourself? 

Ralph Lauren was originally a bank! Where the current elevator is inside the store was once the bank vault. It was fascinating to see the transformation. 

What are some of your other favorite spots around Highland Park Village?

My faves are Ralph Lauren (my home away from home), Hadleigh’s and, you guessed it, Mi Cocina!  Everyone that works in the Village is so kind, and I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had here.
