The first-ever Lele Sadoughi boutique will open on Thursday, May 13 at Highland Park Village. Enjoy an outdoor garden party in honor of the grand opening with personal styling by Lele, hand-painted headbands, sweets, treats and rose all day!

Tell us a little about yourself and what led you to launch Lele Sadoughi?

I love to create, draw, photograph, paint and build. I started my career in ready to wear and later had an opportunity to design trims at Rebecca Taylor. This is where I fell in love with adornments and embellishments. From there, I started designing costume jewelry and went to J. Crew to launch their first-ever jewelry collection. Lele Sadoughi started as a jewelry line and has expanded to headbands, handbags, sunglasses, belts, scarves and more. I like to think we are a one-stop shop for all things colorful and maximal. It is about making accessories the focal point to customize any outfit.

What’s your favorite or most unique thing about what you do?

I love to take an everyday item and make it special. Why not wear a crystal and pearl embellished headband?

How long have you personally been visiting Highland Park Village?

Born and raised in Dallas, I have been visiting Highland Park Village for years. It is a special place for me, and where we wanted to open our first storefront.

What do you enjoy most about Highland Park Village?

Highland Park Village feels like a community. You can go to meet friends, have lunch, shop and walk around in the sun. The neighborhood stores are the best in Dallas!

Are there any secrets or fun facts you can share about the center, your company or you?

My extended family lives in Dallas, so you might see them coming by the store. It’s a special homecoming as someone who’s been in New York City for 20 years.

What are some of your favorite spots around the Village?

I love my neighbors! We have sold our designs in Veronica Beard and Alice + Olivia. Also, we have collaborated with LoveShackFancy. It’s fun to be the accessories destination amongst all these clothing shops.
