Tell us a little about yourself and what led you to join the Personal Shopping Team at Highland Park Village?

Being a part of this Personal Shopping team has been on my vision board for many years. Liz Thrash and Becky Bowen have created such an amazing service for this clientele that is absolutely unparalleled. Getting to be a part of this trio is truly a dream come true!

When did you discover your love for fashion, and how did you find your personal style?

Is birth a valid answer? I have always loved clothes, dressing up, and telling a story through what you wear. Personal style is the way to tell someone who you are without ever opening your mouth. The most fun part of my job is discovering each of my client’s unique rhythms when it comes to fashion and then helping amplify it with our fabulous retail offerings here in the Village.

What’s your favorite or most unique thing about what you do?

The limit does not exist here. Every client is different, and every experience is unique. I think the best part of what I do is seeing someone put on a look, see themselves in the mirror, and immediately feel themselves. The body language changes, the shoulders go back, and of course, there’s the dead giveaway of a huge smile. That’s how I know I have done it right.

Can you explain the personal shopping experience and what it is like to visit the salon?

The most important piece to mention is that this experience is all about you. However you might need us and whatever your needs may be, we tailor your appointment to you. Another key note is that our services are 100% complimentary. Alterations and swapping sizes all happen within the appointment as well. We strive to maximize your time, minimize the stress, and overall give you the best possible experience.

How long have you personally been visiting Highland Park Village?

Highland Park Village has been a part of my DNA as long as I can remember. My mom used to bring me to shop at Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren in the ’90s, and I always loved the sense of community and warmth that still radiates to this day. It is not grandiose to say that there is no other place like this on Earth.

What do you enjoy most about the Highland Park Village community?

Everyone is kind. Simple as that. Everywhere you go in the Village, there is always someone who gives you a smile or says hello. I think it is physically impossible to have a bad day when you’re surrounded by that kind of positivity and grace.

What’s a fun fact that most people don’t know about you?

I am a carnivore of pop culture. It’s borderline awkward how much random information I know about it, but hey, if you ever need a ringer for Quiz Night at Park House, I’m definitely your guy!
