Highland Park Village January 2014 Newsletter

Highland Park Village is pleased to announce that Balenciaga and Ellis Hill will be opening in spring 2014. We will have several of our boutiques relocate during the spring, while they are in the process of remodeling. Tory Burch will relocate to Suite 3 and Jimmy Choo will relocate to Suite 53.

Polished and playful, opposites meet to create an eclectic mix of strong versus feminine elements.

Snakeskin jacquard, wild flowers, whimsical hearts, lips and matchstick patterns are combined in a palette of pale chamomile, rose pink, lipstick red and monochrome tones.

Minimal eveningwear columns are enhanced with shaped hemlines. Necklines are graphic with a curved frame motif tracing the outline of the shoulders.

Accessories continue to play on the hard and soft theme. Slip on ballerinas flattened at the back or high with a mirrored half cylinder heel inlayed with sustainable veneer and are also worked as sandals in colors of cement, tank, rose, silver and snake. The Beckett bag is offered this season in new shapes and sizes including a slouchy backpack. Color combinations to compliment the collection include rose with hot pink made of an eco-faux nappa with either linen or leopard print raffia and in striking silver metallic.

Sustainability is featured across the collection including sustainable wool and wood, organic fabrics, biodegradable rubber soles and eco-faux nappa, with the coating made of over 50% vegetable oil.

Holiday parties can be tough on the skinny jeans. And, with 2014 resolutions right around the corner, why not get a head start the healthy way at some of Highland Park Village’s restaurants and cafes! We recommend checking out the juice cleanse options from Vim and Vigor at Number One. The new soup, Red Chile Chicken Pozole, at Mi Cocina is sure to keep you warm in this frosty weather. And, you can’t go wrong with delicious salads and appetizers at Bistro 31. The sushi menu at Toko V is also top notch.
