“Rain, rain, go away,” but until then, take cover in the Akris Alexa trench. Covered in lavender silk taffeta, treated to resist spring showers, the Akris trench is a fashionable solution for rainy days. The lavender trench looks crisp and perfect with our Broken Flower print top created from a photo of frozen and scattered flowers.

Celebrity Café & Bakery, winner of the “Best Cupcakes, Cookies and Cakepop Design” at the 2015 North Texas Show just one year after winning the “Best Bakery Wedding Cake Design,” is now under new ownership with plans to expand. The Livingston’s completed the acquisition in late May giving them ownership of the beloved brand’s four locations. “Since being named CEO we’ve worked to bring Celebrity Café & Bakery back to its original glory focusing on quality, freshness and the customer experience,” Mr. Livingston stated. The bakeries have seen strong sales growth, which allows the brand to explore opening new locations. The Livingston’s goal is to have between seven and ten locations in three years, with prospective sites in Plano and Uptown for expansion in 2016. The restauranteurs also plan to relocate the Highland Park Village location to the Shops of Highland Park in the near future.

“For 29 years, Celebrity Café & Bakery has been a fixture in Highland Park Village,” said Ray W. Washburne, Managing Partner Highland Park Village. “While we are sad to see our longstanding partners go, we are thrilled that Celebrity Café & Bakery is able to secure more space and continue to develop their thriving business.” The Highland Park Village location will remain open through early 2016 offering a full menu through the end of the year. In 2016 the menu will be limited to signature bakery items and beverages. The new Highland Park location is slated to open in early-November just in time for the holiday season.
