DISCOVER THE ART DECO BACKDROP OF OUR FALL 2022 LOOKBOOK
It really does take a Village to get the perfect shot! We’re giving you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of Highland Park Village’s Fall 2022 Fashion Lookbook photographed in Fair Park by photographer Blair Getz Mezibov.
This fall’s campaign took on a new location, the Hall of State, which many know as the home of the renowned State Fair of Texas. Designed by architect Donald Barthelme and built in 1936, the Hall of State is considered one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in Texas. Constructed using Texas limestone and featuring ornamental metalwork, no detail was spared on this exquisite landmark. The curved exedra at the entrance to the Hall of Texas features 76-foot-tall limestone pillars set in front of blue tiles designed to evoke the state’s flower, the bluebonnet. In the center and above the entrance is an 11-foot bronze with gold leaf statue by American sculptor Allie Tennant named “Tejas Warrior.” It features an archer that holds high a bow without an arrow, meant to symbolize peace.
The setting showcases a powerful blend of architecture, history and luxury, providing our Fall 2022 Lookbook with a quintessential backdrop. With over 6,000 square feet, the Hall of State provided many grand indoor and outdoor scenes for our campaign.
