Get to Know…Angie Kadesky with The Crystal Charity Ball

Angie Kadesky HeadshotANGIE KADESKY, BALL CHAIR

Please explain The Crystal Charity Ball’s mission and how you got involved with the organization.

We raise money to help better the lives of the children of Dallas in areas of health, education, social services and the arts/recreation. Every year, we assess and rigorously vet non-profit agencies in Dallas that serve children and who have applied to us for funding in a four-month process, and at the conclusion of this vetting process, we vote and select the agencies that we believe will best fulfill our mission. Then, we go out into the community and raise the money that they have requested.

Tell us a little about yourself and your background.

I am currently a stay-at-home mom who volunteers to try and help make the world a better place. In my earlier years, prior to having children, I was a practicing trial attorney. That experience proved quite helpful in managing six very active kids!

What makes The Crystal Charity Ball organization so special and impactful to the Dallas community?

The absolute dedication of our amazing membership to our mission makes CCB special. The commitment our long-standing inactive members, Former Ball Chairmen, and current active members have to our mission has enabled us to weather many very challenging times and continue to make a tremendous impact on the Dallas community in good times and bad.

What do you enjoy the most about being a part of The Crystal Charity Ball organization?

I enjoy the friendships I have made with other members, our amazing staff and loyal donors.

How does support from community partners like Highland Park Village help The Crystal Charity Ball have a greater impact?

Highland Park Village has a long and storied history in Dallas and a sterling reputation as a destination for the finest goods and services. Two Dallas icons partnering together to make our community better achieves greater results than either could on their own. We are so grateful for all HP Village does for us and for Dallas.

What are some ways people in North Texas can get involved with The Crystal Charity Ball?

They can go to our website (crystalcharityball.org), learn about our mission and, if they choose to support us, they can donate or spread the word about the agencies and projects we fund.

Lastly, where would we most likely find you in Highland Park Village?

I was just at St. Michael’s Woman’s Exchange for a hostess gift and wrapping and will be there soon to attend one of our committee check-ins at Etro!

Highland Park Village is proud to spotlight our very own dynamic personalities and community partners in the Village Voices series. Get to know our past features.
