Highland Park Village Getting TWO Italian Restaurant from TWO Local Powerhouses Soon

Soon, diners will be able to visit one location to eat the wares of local legends Nick Badovinus and Julian Barsotti. The two are each opening restaurants this year at the same address in Highland Park Village — one situated at floor-level, the other a second-story kinda thing.

Both the new restaurants will focus on Italian food.

On the ground floor will be Perfect Union Pizza Co., from Nick Badovinus (of Montlake Cut, Off-Site Kitchen and others). Perfect Union will be a chill, casual spot, serving artisanal pizza alongside rotisserie chicken and oysters on the half-shell. There will also be plenty of beers on-tap. Perfect Union will open later this summer.

The upstairs neighbor, FACHINI, is from the mind of Julian Barsotti (of Nonna, Sprezza, Carbone’s.) FACHINI will be a bit more high-end, as Barsotti said in a release that it will be a kind of “romanticized-retro version of a the classic, upscale red sauce Italian-American joint.” Think: elegant takes on classics, like table-side Caesar salads, veal and prime steaks, seafood broiled in a wood oven. The wine list will be all-Italian, natch. FACHINI is expected to open in fall 2017.
