Where to Shop in Dallas Right Now

May is an important month in the world of shopping and retail. Mother’s Day is May 14 — who deserves something nice more than the woman who raised you — and it’s also the time to start stocking up on summer staples. As luck would have it, there are a slew of new shops opening at Legacy West, as well as lots of other fun happenings. This is where you should be shopping this month.

Avant Garden Pop-Up at Royal Blue Grocery
The famous orchid bar is popping up at Highland Park’s favorite grocery store. There will also be premade arrangements as well as an assortment of gift packages with flowers, champagne, and wine.

Bell’Invito at Forty Five Ten on Main
Posh personalization is all the rage right now, so it only made sense for Dallas’ leader in luxury paper goods to team up with Forty Five Ten to offer a selection of products in the new store’s chic showroom. Talk about the perfect gift for the mom who has everything.

Draper James
Be the first to get your hands (or feet) on Draper James’ darling, exclusive capsule with Jack Rogers. The shoes start at $128 and feature patterns in gingham, seersucker, and “Hello Darlin.” College students with a school ID will also receive 15 percent off May 15-21, just in time to shop for graduation party dresses, grad gifts, and summer travel.

Fabletics
The flirty, fun, fitness-inspired athleisure line by Kate Hudson just opened its first location in Plano at Legacy West. The store features tank tops, sports bras, leggings, and more for women who love to work up a sweat. This is the brand’s first store in Texas.

Johnny Was
Boho chic invades DFW with the opening of this California-cool store on May 15 at Legacy West. It features clothes and accessories that embrace a California lifestyle but speak to a global vision and defy trends.

Hermès
On May 10, this iconic brand is launching Parures de Samouraïs — a 90 x 90 centimeter silk twill scarf featuring a design by artist Aline Honoré that pays homage to samurai warrior adornments from the 14th and 18th centuries. It retails for $395 and is available in 12 color pattern varieties. If your mom’s on the fancier side, this is for her.

Kendra Scott
This West Village boutique is now bigger and better. The new 1,400-square-foot location is more than double its previous size, and in addition to jewelry, it includes Scott’s home collection and nail lacquer line.

Peter Millar
On May 20, this boutique for Dallas’ most dapper men is opening at Legacy West. The North Carolina-based menswear line is known for tailored clothing that can be taken from the office to the golf course and back again. The Plano boutique offers woven sport shirts, sweaters, knit polos, outerwear, footwear, and more.

Pockets Menswear
The iconic Dallas menswear shop is opening the doors to its first Plano store on May 13 at, yes, Legacy West. The DFW man now has an additional location to get a made-to-measure suit, sophisticated casual wear, and all of the accessories to match.

Rebecca Taylor
The elegant yet romantic and whimsical designer has planted roots at NorthPark Center on level one between Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. This is the brand’s first boutique in Texas, and it offers everything from ready-to-wear to exclusive pieces, limited-edition collaborations, and the new casual denim line La Vie Rebecca Taylor. After-hours shopping, custom delivery, and styling are also available.

UntuckIt
A store that approves of a classic button-down being worn untucked has landed in the West Village. The store features men’s button down shirts, polos, Ts, outerwear, and more.
